An Iranian applicant needs the ordinary passport intended for travel, a complete readable biodata-page image and a separate recent portrait. Enter accurate contact and passport details. The official unified eVisa process does not require an invitation, hotel confirmation or document proving the visit purpose.

Persian names can have several English spellings. Use only the Latin surname and given names in the current passport, checking the machine-readable zone. Do not transliterate Persian again, borrow the spelling from a bank record or use an older passport without comparison.

Transaction checking means preserving a receipt while using the official account—not a pending bank screen—as the source of application status. Open the passport and portrait files again after selection and keep one secure folder per family member. This approach is useful because different problems can look similar: a payment may be pending while the form is not submitted, or a valid approval may be paired with an unsuitable transit route. A concise private checklist keeps these issues separate without adding documents the Russian eVisa application does not request.

Travel-day and departure control

Before an Iranian passenger begins the journey, the official application account should show the issued result and the notification should be downloaded. Compare its Latin identity and passport number with the current physical passport, not an older scan saved on the phone. Review the complete ticket and determine whether baggage is checked through at every connection; if not, confirm whether entering the transit country is lawful. Keep the Russia-valid insurance certificate, destination address and departure plan offline. A payment receipt or assistance-service confirmation cannot replace the Russian grant notification at carrier checks. At the border, answer purpose and accommodation questions truthfully and consistently. After admission, ensure the hotel or host handles migration registration as applicable. Plan the exit through an authorized point before the stay limit. If international payment, airline or communication difficulties arise, they do not automatically extend Russian immigration status or make another entry available.

An Iranian applicant should finish by separating three numbers that are easily confused in saved screenshots: the passport number, application identifier and payment reference. Only the passport number identifies the travel document, while the application ID is used to monitor the case and a payment reference proves only the transaction. Label them privately and never paste a bank reference into a passport field. This small check protects both identity accuracy and status tracking.

An issued unified eVisa gives the named traveller permission to present the linked passport at an authorized Russian checkpoint during the printed validity period. It removes the need to obtain a visa sticker at a consulate for the eligible visit. It does not replace the passport, medical insurance, carrier checks or the Border Service’s final admission decision.

The permission is single entry. Once the traveller leaves the Russian Federation, the same eVisa cannot normally be used for a second arrival, even when its 120-day validity period has not ended. The validity period is also not the permitted length of stay. The visitor may remain for no more than 30 days after entry and never beyond the expiry printed on the visa.

The eVisa does not authorize employment, permanent residence or long-term education. A short business meeting and paid work are not the same activity. Likewise, an approved visa does not grant access to territories, facilities or border zones that require separate permission. Travellers should describe the real purpose and obtain any additional authorization that their activity needs.
